We recently completed a stunning extension project on a characterful property in Belfast, originally built in 1890s. The work involved a careful blend of modern functionality and respect for the home’s historic charm. Structural modifications included knocking down internal walls and installing structural steel to open up and strengthen the new space. A striking roof lantern was added to flood the interior with natural light, enhancing the sense of openness. We also fully renovated the existing rooms and carried out a high-spec bathroom refurbishment. Throughout the home, we laid bespoke oak flooring for a timeless finish and installed intricate mosaic tiles to add texture and style. Outdoors, we transformed the surrounding area with beautifully landscaped outdoor spaces, creating a seamless transition between the interior and exterior of the home. Repointing was carried out over the whole exterior and chimneys rebuilt to bring this older red brick home back to life.

This single-storey rear extension was constructed at a detached property in Hillsborough, County Down, with the goal of enhancing the client’s living space and allowing for the installation of a modern new kitchen. The project delivered a bright, functional area that seamlessly integrates with the existing home. High-performance PIR cavity insulation was installed throughout the extension, ensuring compliance with current building regulations and improving overall energy efficiency. To maximise natural light, the design incorporated three Velux skylights and two large fixed-pane windows, creating a bright, welcoming interior.
